Aluminum louver with 2″ deep storm proof blade design, 1.375″ flanged frame, mill finish, bird screen included as standard

APPLICATION
The  is a 2” deep, extruded aluminum, mechanically fastened, thinline drainable, stationary louver designed to protect air intake and exhaust opening on exterior walls. This louver is designed with a drainable gutter system channeling water from the blades to downspouts in the jambs. Here, water is exhausted out of the front of the louver.

 

STANDARD CONSTRUCTION

  • Frame: 2” (51) deep 6063T6 extruded aluminum, .060” (1.5) nominal wall thickness. Downspouts and caulking surfaces provided.
  • Blades: 6063T6 extruded aluminum, .060” (1.5) nominal wall thickness. Our blades are positioned at 45° angle and spaced approximately 3 3/16” (81) center to center.
  • Screen: 5/8” x .040” (16 x 1.02) expanded, flattened aluminum bird screen in removable frame. Screen adds approximately 1/2” (13) to louver depth.
  •  Finish

Mill.

  • Approximate Shipping Weight: 2 lbs. per sq. ft.(9.8 kg/m2).
  •  Minimum Size: 6”w x 10”h (152 x 254).
  • Maximum Factory Assembly Size: Shall be 75 sq. ft. (7m2) per section, not to exceed 120”w x 90”h (3048 x 2286) or 90”w x 120”h (2286 x 3048).
  • Louvers larger than the maximum factory assembly size will require field assembly of smaller sections.
  •  Supports: Louvers may be provided with rear mounted Hidden Vertical Blade Supports that increase overall louver depth depending on louver size, assembly configuration or windload.
